Breastfeeding for a Healthy Family

Breastfeeding is the act of feeding a baby mothers' milk from the breast. The act itself is natural, but many stereo-types and fears surround the concept to where many mothers are confused or just give up.  As a nursery nurse and lactation consultant, I have many opportunities to work with new families as they start their breastfeeding relationship with their new baby. I enjoy being able to provide them with the information they need to have a successful breastfeeding relationship. Families need assistance and support with breastfeeding because not everyone has family members or friends who are experienced with breastfeeding. I would like to share my breastfeeding knowledge here to assist even more families as they embark on this exciting journey.
